Looking for some advice/input

reno
okay, first thing is first... why in the HELL does LJ now have GAMES? I am all about games and silly ways to waste time... but really? this isn't Facebook, people, ugh...

Now, the actual reasoning behind my post (yes, I assure you there is one and it is not to talk about the detrimental side effects to society caused by this virus of online games, perhaps another day) is to inquire if any of my lovely buddies on here attend an online university. Transportation and general face to face socialization can be somewhat of a problem for me (husband says I fake it well, guess I should look into acting classes) plus there is the fact that I work full time and that I really am rather cozy in my office... without the face-to-face thing. Online interaction is just much simpler.

ANYHOW, back to my point (and not the one about me being slightly crazy and extremely anti-social).  I was considering applying for Kaplan again (tried it once, long story short, real life had a negative impact on my schooling...)  and was wondering if anyone had any insights/helpful tidbits that may make me feel better about this. How are the class structures, is it truly a challenge, are the teachers worth the money I would be paying them, etc.  So, if anyone could help me out here, preferably BEFORE I do something crazy/idiotic/hormonal like pitch the idea to my husband without a logic-driven argument, it would be awesome. Send me a message, or just leave a comment?

Much love,
The crazy girl typing this

Now, to go contemplate aforementioned detritus of society due to flash games on a blog site.

To all of my US buddies on here.

  • Feb. 1st, 2011 at 6:31 AM

Here comes the Snow, I guess.  I am in Illlinois and we are expected to get up to 20 inches, starting at noon... the weather gave us all a minor taste of it yesterday with about 2 inches... like a prep class or something... but I know the east coast is hit to get harder than us with this and they still aren't unburied from the LAST storm we sent over.... Everyone be safe, happy and careful. Or better yet, stay in and read Yaoi! Anywho, just wanted to wish you all well and warn you of the upcoming blizzard, in case you are like me and hermit yourself from all news sources, so my first clue was walking out in snow up to my ankles this morning.

Requisite Xmas preparation post...

  • Nov. 19th, 2010 at 12:24 PM

So, it is very near to "that" time of year again... and, AGAIN, I am going to TRY and get xmas cards out (or Hannakuh cards... or Yule cards... oh, screw it, they are Grinch and Peanuts cards with a generic "holiday" greeting...) so, if you want one, send me a message with your address... as for international addresses (anything out of the US) please forgive my stupidity and tell me the proper way to write addresses on cards to your country... I always fail epically... tried to send a card to Spain last year and I got it back in February... -_-.... ANYWHO... who wants a snazzy card? :P

PLEASE CROSSPOST...URGENT! My daughter, Jackie Buyher, has been missing from the northwest side of Evansville, IN since Wednesday, Nov. 3rd. She is 16 years old, about 5' 6" tall, sandy brown hair (straight, shoulder length), hazel eyes, and weighs approximately 120 lbs. Friends that I am in contact with, as well as school officials, have not seen her since that day. A missing person's report has been filed with the Evansville Police Dept., and recently has expanded to a nation-wide alert. If anyone has seen her, or think they may know her whereabouts, please dial 911 and report any information you may have to the Evansville PD.
